Salaried Vacation Carry Over

Exempt staff members are permitted to carry over up to 5 unused vacation days from one vacation year to the next. The vacation year for salaried staff is from July 1 through June 30. Carried over vacation days must be reported in accordance with established procedures listed below.

  • Reports may be submitted June 20 – July 5, 2022.
  • Reporting Deadline: Tuesday, July 5, 2022.
  • Please supply the following information on the form below
    • Staff Member’s Name
    • Supervisor’s Name
    • Number of days to be carried over

The Office of Human Resources will compile a final report for each supervisor, with a copy to the Business Office. Supervisors will have 5 days to dispute the number of days to be carried over. In the event of a disagreement over the number of vacation days to be carried over, the employee, his/her supervisor, and HR will coordinate in order to reach an outcome. After the supervisor dispute deadline date, the number of days will be confirmed.

Vacation days not reported by the deadline and confirmed by a supervisor will not be honored and will be forfeited. Learn more about the salaried vacation policy.
