This is a summary of the annual report of the Health Benefit Plan for Kalamazoo College, EIN 38-1358014, Plan No. 513, for period July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2023. The annual report has been filed with the Employee Benefits Security Administration, as required under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (ERISA).

Insurance Information

The plan has contracts with Unum Life Insurance Company of America to pay life insurance, long-term disability, accident and AD&D claims incurred under the terms of the plan. The total premiums paid for the plan year ending June 30, 2023 were $203,674.

Uninsured Components

Certain medical, dental and vision benefits of the Plan are not funded. Kalamazoo College has committed itself to pay these benefits out of its general assets.
