2024 Wellness Fair
During 2024, we took a “wholistic” approach to wellness inviting members from our campus community to share information and resources that are available to faculty, staff and retirees to support a healthy community. Please take a moment to review each section and let us know your thoughts by completing the survey.
Resources
Environmental Stewardship
One of their goals is to build on existing assets to strengthen the College’s community engagement initiatives that build capacity for responsible resource management and sustainable development practices. Fitness and Wellness Center
A variety of fitness & wellness programs are offered for all faculty, staff and retirees. Programming includes group exercise classes, specialty events, wellness classes and more!
Information Services
They shared information about digital wellness and online privacy. Resources were created by Wellness and CARE Coordinator Haley Mangette and student Leo Kaplan. They highlight some privacy settings in popular social media apps that you can review. This can help you make informed decisions about how to balance privacy and social media use. Outdoor Programs
Did you know, faculty and staff can also “rent” gear and/or request that Outdoor Programs tailor a program for an outdoor-based event/trip for teambuilding, having fun and getting to know each other, or leadership-based? And that it is free?! Yes, you heard that right! FREE. Please visit their webpage to learn more information.
Parkhurst Dining
Parkhurst believes that the decisions made “regarding where our food comes from, how it’s sourced and how it’s prepared have a direct impact on the health of our communities, environment, and guests.” They brought information about lunch ideas, budget friendly meal ideas and the eating, exercise and body image continuum. Religious and Spiritual Life
Kalamazoo College provides a multi-faith religious and spiritual gathering place that understands that the spiritual journey is both personal and takes place in community. As faculty/staff we can arrange with our Chaplain to receive spiritual counseling, wedding/funeral services and other related services.
