Vaccination Clinic

In Kalamazoo College’s continuing effort to make K a great place to learn, work, and live, K and Rite Aid partners to offer a FREE vaccination clinic.

There are important benefits from flu and COVID vaccinations. They can reduce relative illnesses, doctors’ visits, and missed classes and work due to illness, as well as prevent related hospitalizations.

Thursday, October 26 (Week 7)

Registration Information

The following information will be needed.

  • Email address
  • Mobile phone number
  • Health insurance information (have your card handy)

Online registration will close 48 hours before the clinic begins. Walk-in appointments will be accepted while supplies permit.

Spouse/Partners of faculty and staff are welcome to register for an appointment.

The day of your appointment

  • Bring your completed consent form, photo ID, and insurance card.
    • Pro Tip Complete your consent form prior to your vaccination.
  • Consider wearing short sleeves, or dressing in layers with short sleeves underneath.
  • Check in when you arrive in the Bissell Theatre, located on the second level of the Hicks Student Center.
  • Drink lots of water before and after getting your vaccination(s).
  • Consider an over-the-counter pain reliever like acetaminophen or ibuprofen if experiencing injection site tenderness.

After getting vaccinated

  • Continue to drink plenty of water
  • Eat a balanced meal

In the United States, flu season occurs in the fall and winter. While influenza viruses spread year-round, most of the time flu activity peaks between December and February, but activity can last as late as May. Everyone 6 months and older should get a flu vaccine every season with rare exceptions. Vaccination is particularly important for people who are at higher risk of serious complications from influenza.
