As an employee, former employee, or retiree of a Member Organization in the Emeriti Program, you may occasionally entrust us with certain personal information.  We believe that this information is, and should remain, strictly private and confidential.  Under no circumstances will we sell information about you to any company, group, or individual.

We may collect and maintain nonpublic, personal information about you that we receive from you directly, on applications, surveys, and other forms or our website; from your transactions with us or with other service providers to the Emeriti Program; or otherwise from providing products or services to you, your Emeriti Retiree Health Plan, or the Member Organization with whom you are or were once associated. 

This information could include, for instance, your name, address, or social security number.  Emeriti may use this information in order to provide you with a high level of service, to administer your benefits under the Emeriti Program, and to offer you general information about products and services.

The law permits or requires Emeriti to disclose information about you in certain situations, such as if you affirmatively consent to the disclosure, to protect against actual or potential fraud, or to provide information to certain government agencies.  Otherwise, Emeriti will not disclose any nonpublic, personal information about you to anyone.  In addition, Emeriti will restrict access to your nonpublic, personal information to those of its employees who need to know such information in order to provide products or services to you.  Emeriti will also maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect your nonpublic, personal information from others.  We will regularly evaluate our technology in an effort to ensure that the safeguards we have in place maintain a high level of security and confidentiality for your personal information.

Finally, if you decide not to participate in the Emeriti Program or if you become an inactive participant, Emeriti will adhere to the privacy policies and procedures described in this notice.
