Position Summary
The Enterprise Programmer/Analyst is a member of the Information Services team managing the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, assisting with integrations between the ERP system and campus-wide ancillary software systems, and web scripting to serve as a bridge for high-availability content to the college community.
Responsibilities
- Provide support for the Colleague ERP system, mostly but not limited to the Colleague Student module.
- A liaison for departments utilizing Colleague by providing support for technical issues, keeping abreast of software updates that may be impactful, assisting with Ellucian Customer Support tickets, and some technical training.
- Be part of a team supporting data integrations between Colleague and other 3rd party systems. This will include creating and updating integrations via data file transfers or Web/Ethos APIs.
- Assist on use of the College’s enterprise-wide reporting tool, Entrinsik Informer, which may include dataset creation/update, dashboard development, and issue resolution.
- Web scripting that serves as a connector for an enhanced experience between the end-user and the ERP system.
- Utilize project and time management tools for effective cross-departmental collaboration with the college community.
- Physical requirements of the job include the ability to work in a campus office environment with extensive use of computers; to communicate with individuals and groups effectively in-person, via email, via Microsoft Teams or phone; and to move between and within campus buildings (some are not handicap accessible).
Qualifications
Technical
- Minimum of an associate degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Programming/Analysis or other relevant technology fields is required.
- Experience with relational databases and web scripting is required.
- Experience with Ellucian Colleague ERP is preferred.
- Colleague Studio programming experience is desired.
- Experience with SQL scripting and integration tools (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, SSIS, PowerShell, etc.) is preferred.
- Experience with Ellucian Ethos and Ellucian Experience is preferred.
- Experience with the following web scripting tools is preferred:
- Using RESTful APIs (JSON, Python, XML)
- SDK for Ellucian Experience custom card development
- PHP, JavaScript and HTML for support of custom web solutions
- Experience with Microsoft low-code development tools, such as Power Automate, is desired.
- Experience with Entrinsik Informer or similar reporting tool is desired.
Business Acumen
- Knowledge of higher education business procedures and practices.
- Knowledge in ADA 2.1/2.2 AA and Section 508 compliant practices.
- Experience handling multiple tasks/projects at a time, prioritizing needs.
- Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
