FAQs – Hosting
What are the menu options?
All options will come with coffee & hot tea station, water and OJ
- Option 1: Triple berry French Toast bake with shredded hashbrowns, scrambled eggs & bacon. Vegan option meat.
- Option 2: Biscuit, egg and sausage sandwich, hashbrown triangles, fruit platter & assorted pastries. Vegan sausage & egg sandwich.
- Option 3: English muffin with Canadian bacon and egg, sweet potato tots, yogurt and granola and scones. Vegan meat & egg substitute.
- Option 4: Corned beef hash, scrambled eggs, potatoes O’Brien with assorted bagels and cream cheeses. Vegan meat & egg substitute.
- Option 5: Scrambled eggs OR Denver scramble, sausage OR bacon, tater tots & assorted breakfast breads. Vegan meat & egg substitute.
- Option 6: Biscuits & gravy, scrambled eggs, shredded hashbrowns & fruit platter. Vegan meat & egg substitute.
- Option 7: Fresh fruit platter, yogurt & granola, assorted pastries & hard boiled eggs.
- Option 8: Frittata (with meat and/or veggie), choice of sausage or bacon, home fries with assorted breakfast breads.
What are some best practices to hosting?
Here are some practices to consider.
- Connect with campus partners (facilities, etc) as soon as possible for seating needs.
- Partner with another department to spread out the effort. Consider using the event to showcase work in your area(s).
- Accessibility needs: How might people of varying abilities participate in your breakfast?
- Consider sharing the menu and other information by an email announcement. (No more than 6 days before your breakfast.)
How does funding work?
A College-supported budget continues. Each invoice for these breakfasts will be sent to Human Resources for review.There is nothing that the hosts need to do on the funding side.
How does the breakfast become included in the Upcoming Events?
Human Resources will ensure that your breakfast appears on the Upcoming Events section of the Hornet Hive.

Yes! The breakfasts and summer hours create more opportunities for joy during the warmer months.
Why are there some changes to the breakfast schedule this year?
Changes to the day of the week and the frequency are driven by feedback from our community and the need to balance fiscal responsibility with fostering a sense of community.
