What do I need for open enrollment?

What else do I need to know?

  • Kalamazoo College username and password (See Help Desk for assistance with any password reset needs).
  • Review Open Enrollment Instructions.
  • If enrolling in coverage, you’ll need dependents’ date(s) of birth, address, and social security number.
  • Changes are effective January 1, 2026.
  • Everyone must actively participate. No action will cause default declining of benefits.
  • Instructions are posted under Files on Microsoft Teams under the Open Enrollment Team.
  • Drop-in assistance is available on November 12, 11:30-1pm and on November 14, 1:30-3pm in Human Resources. You can also schedule an appointment with Miasha.

Unum Life, Accidental Death & Dismemberment and Accident Insurance Enrollment Information

Unum packets will be emailed to those who expressed interest in purchasing new or making changes to existing coverage. Please return your enrollment packet by 11/19/2025, if you wish to make changes to your Voluntary Life or Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurance. You may also enroll in Accident Insurance, if you wish to, through Unum. Accident Insurance must be renewed annually if you enrolled previously.
